Everyday people enjoy the beauty of the Shubenacadie Waterway. Whether it’s in a canoe, on a bike or walking on a trail there is something for everyone.
As you can see in the photo above a lot of the work on the Flume House has been completed. The next step will be the construction of the Flume. You can get an idea of how that will look from the Flume House drawing to the left.
The stream running from Lake Charles to Lake William was once a part of the canal system as evidenced by the dry stack stone walls along the edge. It’s a beautiful spot in Portobello where plans are being made to add a trail in 2017.
