Lock 7 is located in the eastern area of Enfield. Like the nearby Lock 6, this lock was a bypass lock used to get around troublesome river rapids. This lock has largely succumbed to age, with only portions of its stone walls remaining along with parts of the wooden upper gate. Remains of the dam, the approach channel, the overflow weir, and several other parts of the lock also remain visible.
