Walk the Waterway Challenge 2023
114KM Challenge - June 5, 2023 - October 16, 2023
Join the Shubenacadie Canal Commission for a self guided walk of the waterway. Take a hike along the banks of the scenic Shubenacadie Waterway, where you will find many trails through woodlands and historical canal works. Each week we will send participants a suggested route. The routes are a way to explore a new trail or area of the waterway.
We are excited to use this FUNdraiser to raise awareness about the waterway. You may not realize it exists in your backyard or that it extends across the province. Now is the time to check out our parks, docks, historical sites and much more! It’s ‘Yours To Explore’!
How to participate:
Pay the $10 registration fee and complete the registration form by clicking the image below.
Explore new trails and parks.
Track your KMs from June 5, 2023 - Oct 16, 2023 (email us before Oct 31 with your total)
Optional, share your experiences with us on social media (links below)
Those who complete the full 114km challenge will receive a certificate of their accomplishment and will be listed on our website.
