MILITARY TRAINING IN SHUBIE PARK

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

DARTMOUTH, NS – Local residents are advised that Canadian Forces members will conduct training in SHUBIE PARK near the FAIRBANKS CENTRE on Saturday, 27 May 2017. 

This training is being conducted by Reserve Infantry Soldiers from the Princess Louise Fusiliers as part of a Basic Mountain Operations Course.  Students will be practicing the use of rope installations to cross water obstacles in the area along the SHUBENACADIE CANAL to the South-East of the Fairbanks Centre, between the centre and Lake Mic Mac.  The public is advised there will be temporary localised obstruction of the waterway on this date associated with this military exercise.

Members of the public are asked to observe safety instructions should they approach or encounter soldiers on this exercise.
