Events & Activities

There's an activity (several, in fact) for everyone along the Shubenacadie Canal and Waterway, including outdoor events not mentioned in the menu options listed to the left. Eagle watching, triathlons, Outdoor education, and Walk-a-thons for a variety of charities are quite popular, to name just a few things you can get involved with.

The Shubenacadie Canal Commission and the NS Department of Natural Resources administer 9 pocket parks along the corridor from Halifax to Maitland. The opportunities presented by these natural areas are "ripe fruit waiting to be plucked from the trees and enjoyed"; and you can quote me on that!
